Avonmouth 1st XV (8) v Taunton (27)

This top of the table clash as expected started at a high tempo, and it was Avonmouth who opened the scoring with a penalty kick after 10mins from Charlie Reynolds.
Taunton gradually started to take control of the game through their forwards and lively half-back pairing of Martin and Rhodes.
A converted try and a penalty from ex Dings centre Sam Saunders gave Taunton a 10-3 lead at half-time.
Taunton further increased their lead after 55mins with a try from Winger Rudkin.
Matters got worse for Avonmouth when Luke Matthews went off injured and Craig Britton was sin-binned on 64mins.
Taunton capitalised with superior numbers and scored two good tries to close the game out.
The final move of the game however saw Charlie on the end of a good three-quarter counter attack to gain a consolation try for Avonmouth .
His conversion attempt hit the upright to leave the final score 8 - 27 to Taunton.

Avonmouth 2nds secured their second victory this season over Dings 3rds with another good performance
away at Landseer Avenue. Six tries were scored with Chris Rhodes and James Tuffin kicking two conversions each.
Try scorers were Lee Worgan, James Tuffin, Phil Dickinson, Danny Hillman, Jason Brennan, and Jim Anderson.
Danny Hillman was voted the player's Man-of-the-Match.
